Physical Education and Health 6th, 7th & 8th grades

Fitness testing for all 6th, 7th & 8th grade students will take place from
April 26-May 7.
We will work on fitness in class each week for 7th and 8th grades by performing a fitness warm-up at the beginning of each class as well as doing Circuit Training every Wednesday. Students are expected to work towards their fitness goals at home.
7th Grade Physical Education
Seventh graders will start the trimester playing a variety of strategy games followed by, team handball, softball, and lacrosse. Please remember to bring a change of clothes for Phys. Ed. class.
There will be no swimming for 7th graders as they have already been swimming last trimester.
8th Grade Physical Education
Eighth graders will start the trimester with a unit on strategy games, followed by team handball, circuit training, speedball, table tennis and softball. Please remember to bring a change of clothes for Phys. Ed. class.
Swimming will begin on Monday, May 24-June 4. Classes will include water polo skills and water polo games. Please remember to bring your swim suits, towels and bathing caps.

6th Grade Health
Sixth grade health will focus on three units of study:
- Stages of Human Development
- Character Education
- Substance abuse focusing on, tobacco, alcohol, inhalants and marijuana
