Introduction
You have just found out that a person close to you has a
chronic noncommunicable disease which a past family member has also
had. You want to know what the disease is and how their body will
be affected.
You are aware that diet and exercise can help prevent, control or even
put the disease into remission. You also believe that there are
new medical and alternative treatments being used to treat this
disease.
Task
- In order to help this person and others like him you
decide to create a brochure or web page that accurately
summarizes this disease, its correlation with diet and exercise and
outlines possible treatments.
Process
Research and find information on your noncommunicable disease
in these three areas:
1. definition , symptoms and progression of the disease
2. ways to prevent the disease
3. treatment options.
For information use two of the links listed below as well as a
secondary print resource from the library. You may choose between
a brochure created in Apple works or the development of a web
page to show what you have
learned around your noncommunicable disease. A formal
bibliography must be included in your end product. Check your
rubric to be sure you
have met all of the project criteria.
Again, choose at least two links from below to find new and
reliable information your disease.
